Brooklyn Car Crash Leaves Five Injured and Two Dead

Brooklyn, NY – A two-car collision occurred at the intersection of 18th Avenue and 64th Street in Bensonhurst on Monday, March 20, 2023, leaving five people injured and two fatalities.

According to reports, a Toyota Camry ran through a red light and struck a Honda HRV in the intersection. After colliding, the vehicles hit a 60-year-old woman who was walking and then struck a third vehicle. The pedestrian and driver of the third vehicle were taken to Maimonides Medical Center in critical condition where they both later passed away. Five other victims were injured and taken to the hospital. The driver of the Camry is believed to have been speeding when the crash occurred. He was charged with manslaughter and driving as an unlicensed operator.
