Crash Leaves One Dead and Four Injured

Leicester, NY – a 59-year-old man died, and four others were injured in a crash on Route 36 at Perry Road in Leicester. The crash occurred around 6 p.m. on Wednesday April 13, 2022. 

According to The Livingston County Sherriff’s Office, an SUV carrying 5 people turned left and was struck by an oncoming tractor trailer causing two people in the SUV to be ejected. One of the people ejected died at the scene. The other four people in the SUV were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. The tractor trailer driver was not hurt.  

The victim has been identified as 59-year-old Syed Kefayet Ullah. 47-year old Chowdhury Mahbuba Mujahid is currently in guarded condition at Strong Memorial Hospital.
