Child Injured in Concord Bicycle Collision

Concord, CA – In Concord on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, a child was taken to the hospital following a collision between a vehicle and a bicycle. The Concord Police Department reported that the incident took place on Cowell Road, just south of Treat Boulevard. The child was transported to Oakland Children’s Hospital for medical attention. At approximately 2:15 p.m., the Concord PD received multiple reports of a large commercial vehicle that had hit a child on a bicycle. The child was riding in the crosswalk when the commercial vehicle turned from Treat onto Cowell and collided with them. The Concord PD Traffic Unit is currently investigating the accident.
