Boy Severely Injured in Boyle Heights Crash

Boyle Heights, CA – An accident involving a motorcycle and a pedestrian occurred on Thursday, March 30, 2023, around 3:30 p.m. The accident happened at the intersection of Whittier Boulevard and Orme Avenue.

According to the Los Angeles police department, 13-year-old, Joshua Mora was walking in a crosswalk when he was struck by a motorcycle. Mora was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries, including the loss of his right leg. The suspect fled the scene. It was also reported the crosswalk has no signal lights or traffic signs, making it extremely dangerous. The crash remains under investigation.
