Elk Grove, CA – A 67-year-old woman was struck and killed while walking on the sidewalk on Monday, April 4, 2022, around 2:45 p.m. According to the Elk Grove Police Department, a vehicle veered off the road and hit the pedestrian near Frye Creek Drive and Deepdale Way.
The driver fled the scene but was caught by police and identified as 20-year-old Micah Banks. Banks was arrested and charged with vehicular manslaughter and hit-and-run.
