2 Killed and 1 Injured in 60 Freeway Collision

Moreno Valley, CA – Two people were killed and another injured after a wrong-way collision occurred on 60 Freeway, near Gilma Springs Road. The crash occurred around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2022.  

According to California Highway Patrol, 28-year-old Eva Lopez Gonzalez was driving her Hyundai Sonata eastbound in the westbound lane at around 90 mph when she collided head on with 49-year-old Antral Thomas, driving a Chevy Malibu. 

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger of the Chevy Malibu was transported to the hospital with injuries.
