ReNu with MoistureLoc
ReNu with MoistureLoc Solution is a saline eye solution used with contact lenses.
On May 15, 2006, Bausch & Lomb recalled its contact solution ReNu with MoistureLoc. The FDA and CDC have been investigating an increase in cases of fungal keratitis, an eye infection that affects the cornea and can cause permanent blindness.
The CDC said public health officials in 17 states were investigating 109 cases of fungal keratitis. Eight of these patients had to undergo corneal transplants.
Bausch & Lomb has asked U.S. retailers to remove ReNu with MoistureLoc from their shelves temporarily, and recommend consumers switch to another brand for now. The recall pertains to Bausch & Lomb ReNu with MoistureLoc manufactured in the United States only.
If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with fungal keratitis, call Cellino & Barnes now at 1-800-483-2050 or contact us by clicking on ReNu Recall Attorney.
